Intro
The 4th Annual World Championship Belt Buckle Juried Online Competition is inviting all one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, wearable examples in the Belt Buckle Format. All styles and interpretations welcome: Western, modern, fashion, conceptual, and narrative.
 
Awards: 
The first place entry will receive a cash prize of $250 and a World Champion Title Buckle made by 2014 1st place winner, Pat Pruitt. The Second Place entry will receive $150, and Third Place will receive $100.
Up to 60 finalists will be included in this juried online exhibition. Printed Images of the Belt buckles will be on exhibit at a physical Bozeman, Montana venue.

Image Guidelines:
Contestants may enter up to three images.
All entries should include the following information on the entry form: Artist's Name, title of work, date of completion, medium, size (Height x width x depth). 300 dpi JPG at least 8" in the largest direction.
All image files should read: Last Name and image number.jpg or Last Name and Title of the Work.jpg. (ex. Smith_BigShiny.jpg).

By uploading my images to the contest, artists agree to allow the World Championship Belt Buckle Competition to use my image(s) for this online juried competition found at www.WorldChampionBuckle.com. I also give permission for The World Championship Belt Buckle Competition to include printed image(s) in a printed catalogue and photo exhibition. The artists keep copyrights to their image(s), while World Champion Belt Buckle Competition maintains ownership and rights of the website. By entering the competition, artists give express rights for World Champion Belt Buckle Competition to exhibit winners and finalist's images in the Gallery section of WorldChampionBuckle.com, and Facebook.

Jury:
Nash Quinn
Originally from Wyoming, Nash Quinn received his BFA from the University of Wyoming, and his MFA in metalsmithing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. His creative practice takes on a variety of themes and formats, from interactive sculptures to theoretical jewelry and of course, belt buckles. His work has been displayed in galleries and museums across the country, and featured in publications and digital exhibitions including Metalsmith Magazine’s Exhibition in Print, Sup Brooch by One Wall Press, and Buckle Up: Belt Buckles Beyond Function on Crafthaus. Nash received an honorable mention in the 2013 World Champion Belt Buckle Competition, and was a finalist in 2014. He has worked at multiple craft schools, including Touchstone, Haystack and Pocosin Arts, and is currently the fine metals artist fellow and studio manager at Peters Valley School of Craft, where he will be teaching two workshops in 2016.

Bryan Petersen
Received his B.A. in Metalsmithing at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT, and an M.F.A. in Metals, from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Art teaching Beginning and Advanced Metalsmithing classes at Montana State University. He has taught at The Arthur Morgan School, Georgia Southern University, Arrowmont, Ghost Ranch, and The Bear Canyon School of Art and Craft. His work is published in Lark books, Fabulous Jewelry From Found Objects, Hollan Publishers book, Mixed Media Collage Jewelry: New Directions in Memory Jewelry, A&C Black's Jewellery From Recycled Materials, and Lark Books Iron Wire Jewelry.
