March Madness in Munich

Schmuck is getting closer and we are excited to soon be on our way to Munich. The program this year is extensive and filled to the brim with interesting shows. But relax and take a deep breath. This is not a competition where the one who has seen the most exhibitions will be announced as a winner. Remember to enjoy yourself, and that it's very important with a lot of coffee breaks in this jewellery marathon. And to make the most of it here are our top 5 tips on how to have a brilliant Schmuck-experience:

1. Map it out
A close look at the programme and a even closer look at the city map will save you both time and sweat. Many of the events take place in a small area where it is easy to get around by foot, so why not kill two birds with one stone while you are at it.

2. Share highlights
Ask the other Schmuck visitors for their recommendations and what exhibitions they have enjoyed so far. It is always fun to see if you will share their opinion. But don't forget to get the accurate instructions on how to get there. A lesson we have learned is that for foreign ears the names of the streets might sound very much alike. We ended up with an expensive cab ride to Moselstrasse instead of Motzartstrasse, which turned out to be on the other side of town.

3. Get the invite
While you are out, remember too keep your eyes and ears alert to find out about the somewhat secret schmuck party. We still have not figured it out if it is necessary to get an invitation to get into the party, but there is usually a lot of fuss about these special invitations...

4. Try the Bavarian specialities
Even if Weisswurst and knödel doesn't sound like your cup of tea it is worth a try - not to mention the apfelstrudel, bretzels and Weissbier.

5. Visit us at the Swedishe Kirche
(of course we had to put it on the list!)

Last year we served a Smörgåsbord in the premises of the Swedishe Kirche at Schwanthalerstraße 60 - this year we are bringing a complete forest with us, and of course our jewellery for the exhibition "In the Forest". (Open Thursday 15th until Sunday 18th of March)

Here are some teaser of what you will find in our forest:

Brooch by Hanna Liljenberg

Ring by Sanna Svedestedt

Necklace by Karin Roy Andersson

Neckpiece by Pernilla Persson

Hope to meet you there, and all over town!

ps. Our swedish crew will also be seen in some other places during the week. Keep your eyes open for:
