More information:
Three weeks ago we sent a brief to our artists. This brief was written by you. 24 of our artists have answered the brief and today we present this diverse collection of designs that speak to the unique vision of each artist. We now ask you to carefully consider each design and tell us which are your favourites. Cast your vote by either liking or leave a comment on the pieces that speak to you. You have until Monday 20 August to take part. By taking part you’ll be in with a chance to win a $250 e.g.etal voucher. The design that receives the most votes will be made and will find its place on our shelves as the e.g.etal ring for 2012... It is important to note that the submission provided by each artist is a reflection of their creative process. As such, some have provided hand-rendered drawings, while others have provided computer-aided designs. Still others have made mock-ups of their rings in non-precious materials (silver, wax, synthetic stones etc.) and others have made the ring in precious materials up to some point of completion. In most cases you will need to use your imagination to visualise what the ring will look like once made...but that's part of the process and very much part of the fun. Support material such as notes and sketches are provided in some cases and help in this process...happy browsing!
