Intro
Presenting the release of Heterogeneidad del Río de la Plata - a postcards book showcasing 10 Argentinian jewellers revealing pieces which talk about their own identity.
Heterogeneidad del Río de la Plata - postcards book.

Heterogeneity: from our country and within the group itself; ten Argentinian women - jewellery makers, reveal pieces which talk about their own identity.

Metalistería is an online gallery created by Francisca Kweitel and Marina Molinelli Wells in Buenos Aires with the idea of opening a space fully dedicated to contemporary jewellery.

Remarks

Metalistería on contemporary jewellery.
We could call them body sculptures, volumetric paintings or physical instalations, but it is best known as "contemporary jewellery", “conceptual jewellery" or “artistic jewellery". The choice of materials and the combination therefore in its various forms, are what generates the essence of each work. In developing this type of jewellery every possible material, existing, recreated or invented, is valid if it facilitates the idea of each work. Plastics, volcanic stones, textiles, photographs, alpaca, bronzes, human skin, horse hair and fluff up had the lead role in this type of work for the body. Jewellery: a way to navigate within oneself, a way to express oneself.

Metalistería represents a group of enthusiastic artists whose work develops a personal point
of view that extends and renews the concept of this discipline. Metalistería also coordinates and manages projects to display the essence of each work. The group, mainly Argentinian, dives into its own frontiers expanding the pre established while creating a communication through jewellery.
