The organic fundamental error of humanism was that it desired to educate the common people (on whom it looked down) from its lofty stance instead of trying to understand them and to learn from them / Stefan Zweig

Interview to Klara Brynge
I think jewelry exists and are being worn and made for so many reasons and in so many ways that it can not be standardized. I don’t think we wear objects on our body only to look good. I think there is also a need to belong and to understand ourselves. The wearing and making of jewelry is something alive.

Starting from symbolic hints in medieval depictions of saints to the idyllic backgrounds of antique scenes painted in the Baroque period, landscapes for a long time served merely as a backdrop. Now this familiar yet always novel genre is explored from both a historical and a contemporary angle.

Grasping the intentions and ideas behind Saez's work is not so easy. Considering the title of the exhibition - Meet me there - her work refers to some location or, possibly, a state of mind. But what meets the eye are complex, rather abstract structures.

The distant and the near has a meating point. An object can be small but appear large, as if you are very far away from it even though you hold it in your hand.

I try to create a close correlation between jeweler, jewel and wearer. That is the reason why some of my jewelry pieces are designed to "suffer" like a second creative stage. In fact, they carry a gesture not only activated by the jeweler, but also able to be recreated and reconfigured by the carrier during its use.

Nanna Grřnborg
New member of Klimt02.
I use theoretical tools like semiotics and the science of perception to reflect on these topics with a touch of irony. The contradictions between the rational and the intuitive, between what we see and what we make of it feed my jewellery universe. My investigation of the interrelationships between objects and the imagination is an ongoing process.

In my work, there is always a mediator, a membrane, which separates the human body and emotions both tangibly and metaphorically.

A four-day workshop exploring the forbidden side of art. The process of making objects has, in contemporary art, become a subject of almost no relevance. Yet, for things to exist they need to be constructed, wrought, made and to this making pertains a characteristic vocabulary and grammar that independent of any concept or idea, stands on its own.
