Information about exhibitions and projects during 2011

ATTA Gallery, opened in 2010, is the first gallery specializes in art and contemporary jewelry in Thailand. The name of the Gallery, ATTA, means "SELF" in Pali--an ancient Indian language, which is also used widely in Thai language. It is our mission to encourage the expression of “ATTA or SELF” by way of adorning oneself with original, unique, meaningful and creative works of wearable art.

ATTA Gallery exhibits works of jewelry artists—both established and new talents, local and international—in order to promote the art of jewelry making to the wider public both locally and internationally. ATTA Gallery exhibits original works that clearly exhibit the artists’ ATTA through its permanent collection, as well as during solo or group exhibitions throughout the year.

23.Aug.2011 - 23.Sep.2011 Current by ORIZZONTI (...) Why do we use jewellery as a means of our artistic expression? Perhaps it is because we see the possibility of a personal connection to someone through our art. Jewellery is like a poem, inscribed on the human body, our most familiar canvas. (...)
29-Nov-2011 - 06-Jan-2012 This is Thailand: Thailand from 2006-present The conceptual idea of “This is Thailand” is derived from the reinterpretation of jewelry as the reflection and expression of the artist to society regarding the diverse social issues.
