Gallery deux poissons is a contemporary jewelry gallery launched in Ebisu, Tokyo in 2003. It is renown as a pioneer who introduced the field of contemporary jewelry to Japanese audience. Based in Tokyo, the gallery has been contributing to open up new market in Japan, and building up network with artists in the world since then.

Gallery deux poissons presents approximately 50 artists who have different origins; the majority consists of European and Japanese. The gallery holds about 6 exhibitions annually, besides permanent exhibitions and sales. The main intention is to introduce the works done by artists who are at the forefront of the international contexts to Japanese audience, and to promote upcoming talented artists. Also international publications are constantly introduced at the gallery.

In order to activate the field of contemporary jewelry in Japan and help to deepen people’s interests, deux poissons does not limit the activities inside of its gallery space. One of the important activities is to curate exhibitions for museum shops, boutiques, furniture shops and design fairs etc. In addition to the exhibitions, the gallery coordinates workshops and lectures by guest artists at the gallery, or, art universities and jewelry colleges etc.
