Statement

For many years painting, drawing and digital photography were my favourite mediums but this changed few years ago when I discovered for myself art jewellery…I love the idea of creating objects which I can take with me, feel their weight and texture. That’s definitely something I missed when worked only on the flat surface.

I am fascinated with geometry. Urban landscapes, especially roads infrastructure – signs, symbols, colours are for me the greatest source of inspirations. When deprived of the burden of functionality all those utilitarian objects become pure forms which I am giving different meaning. I called the series of works devoted to road theme ‘False Warnings’ as even though some shapes recall the informative or warning road signs, in my works they are just composition of forms without any function.

Abstract geometry is my primary language but I admire and explore the nature too. I am interested in coexistence of geometric forms and biomorphic, living shapes. The geometry – our world invisible fundamentals, together with chaotic and constantly changing matter creates extraordinarily combinations being in the same time contrasting and complementary.

Silver is my favourite material as it’s amazingly versatile, can be both white and black, soft and hard, shiny and matt…but I play a lot with other materials which can add other values to my projects like colour, transparency etc.
