Minna Markkanen has been an active part of the Finnish art jewellery scene from her studying years at the Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, graduating with a BA in 2012, and the years since then. Her eager spirit and positive attitude towards bringing jewellery on a platform in Finland has not been un-noticed, and at 2015 she gladly took the offered seat in the board of the Finnish jewellery art association. "Though rather small, the Finnish jewelry scene has a lot to offer if you are willing to work, collaborate, search, and just plain dive in" she says. Important artistic collaboration for Minna is TROPHY, an artist group she and her colleague, a fellow jeweler, Viivi Manninen formed formed back in 2012.
