The Amber Trip Art Jewellery Contest 2026, held in Vilnius, has revealed the winners of this year’s international competition under the theme Mind the Gap.
Presented at LITEXPO from 12-14 February 2026, the exhibition brought together a wide range of contemporary jewellery works exploring the idea of the “gap”, as a space of division, transition, and potential transformation. Artists responded with diverse approaches, reflecting on personal, social, and material interpretations of absence, rupture, and connection.
The international jury, chaired by Swedish artist Mona Wallström, placed strong emphasis on both conceptual strength and technical excellence in selecting this year’s award recipients.
The Awarded Winners are:
Grand Prix Award: Ripe Gap by Ugnė Burvytė
Best Amber Award: Mind the Gap or Build a Bridge by Barbara Schwager
Best Jewellery Award: They Energized Talent by Saskia Tossaint
Best Object Award: The space between by Rasa Trapikaitė
Swedish Ambassador Award: Aureate Reflux by Sanna Svedestedt
Amber Trip Team Award: Showered with compliments by Eglė Vengalytė-de Meulenaer
Special Prix Award: Sea the Gap by Irina Lindqvist
Special Mention Award: Talk by Aušra Mačiulaitienė
Public Vote Award: ! by Emilija Raginskytė
The awarded artists demonstrate how contemporary jewellery can engage with the complexities of in-between spaces — bridging emotional, cultural, and conceptual divides. Their works highlight the power of jewellery as a medium not only of adornment, but of critical reflection and storytelling.
The Amber Trip Art Jewellery Contest continues to strengthen its role as an international platform for contemporary jewellery, fostering dialogue across borders and supporting both emerging and established creators.
