Artist list
Reinhold Ziegler
Reinhold Ziegler, one of the most well-known jewellery artists from Norway, will be presenting the individual exhibition "Lust For Life" in WITTENBRINKFUENFHOEFE.
Artist works with unusual organic materials such as meteorites, stromatolites, ammonites, trilobites and not least the tooth of a dinosaur.
They are from the time as our solar system was formed. So they are about 4.5 billion years old, and elder than our earth.
Through a minimalist idiom, Ziegler presents spectacular materials and wants to show their beauty. All the works are marked by superlative precision craftsmanship. So as not to distract from the material he concentrates his works on simple geometrical shapes.
Ziegler’s intention is to draw attention away from the personality of the individual wearer, towards a universal view. The wearer gets a facilitator and fades into the background.
The exhibition Lust for Life challenges our understanding of the position of human being and in how we see ourselves, our origin and the world.
