Artist list
Staffan Jonsson
Staffan Jonsson collects objects that he finds or that people give to him. Then everything is put on the "thing table". They stand there and gravitate towards each other. They move around, forming couples or groups that create meanings and expressions. Then they are joined together and made wearable with technical solutions.
Jewelry as an art form has a unique ability to communicate with its surroundings and to move through rooms and environments. Staffan Jonsson was introduced to jewelery art by a teacher in 2015. This art expression grew on him, one of the things that captured him was the objects' intimate connection to those who choose to wear them. In 2020, Staffan Jonsson took his master's degree in jewelery art at HDK-Valand and since then he is based with a workshop in Gothenburg.
Opening: Friday February 4, 5 pm-8 pm
