Kim: I find it exciting to observe how artists develop their own language. Control and knowledge of any material is something very important, but it depends on how you use it. It's not solely about possessing technical skills; it's about employing them as tools to serve the artistic expression.
Leo: You can observe that all jewellers who reach a certain level, which we may call mastery, possess a thorough understanding of the materials they work with. It allows for limitless expression.
Words from Kim Buck and Leo Caballero extracted from Kim Buck's interview on the occasion of his exhibition No Title at Hannah Gallery in September 2023.
In this article, we present a selection of artists, each with their recognizable aesthetic and personal language, known for pushing the boundaries of contemporary jewellery through the exploration of specific techniques.
