Jewelry transcends through its materiality, its exposure to time and space, and through its anchoring in the fragile existence of its wearer, exploring the essential bond between jewelry and life. (Pravu Mazumdar, 2019)
This text aims to analyze jewelry from the perspective of its function as a container, following Ursula K. Le Guin's The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, which suggests that objects containing something beyond their materiality can be considered heroes.
This article is part of an ongoing research investigated and presented by Maria José Jaramillo, as part of her internship at Klimt02.
