Lluis Comín has participated as advisor and jewellery designer for the recently released movie El Secreto de Orfebre.
Lluís Comín Vilajosana, was born in Barcelona in November 14, 1958. He learned a trade and art in his father's jewellery workshop. He has a degree in gemmology with a specialty in diamonds from the University of Barcelona, the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, and jewelry from the Massana School.
It was a very interesting experience for me to advise the film's crew on the issues surrounding our goldsmithing trade. I was impressed by Mario Casas professionalism in learning a few of our skills to make his character more realistic. It was a pleasure to have two great actresses, Michelle Jane and Zoe Bonafonte, wear the earrings that serve as the central theme of the story.
The movie is based on the adaptation of Elia Barceló's novel of the same name, directed by Olga Osorio and starring Mario Casas and Michelle Jenner. The Goldsmith's Secret is a production by Adrián Guerra and Núria Valls for Nostromo Pictures, with the participation of Movistar, support from ICEC, and Film Factory handling international sales. In Spain, distribution is handled by Warner Bros. Pictures Spain.
