. The project represents a 21st-century mermaid inspired by the two sisters rocks legend about a woman half fish.
. This project raised various questions like: How could be a Mermaid today? In which way is she dangerous? Where does she live? How can she hurt the people who are getting in contact with her? What kind of Hybrid being is? Is it a hybrid between humans and what kind of animal? What is attractive to me? Which kind of jewelry is attractive?
. The mermaid is an aquatic mythological creature which has undergone several metamorphoses through the ages; I represent her nowadays.

. My collection is attractive and dangerous thanks to the shiny but sharp stones. When the viewer comes in touch with the wearer, attracted by the jewelry, can hurt himself as the mermaid does with the enchanted man. When the jewelry is worn, the body mutates, it becomes half animal and half human. The design is inspired by Ernest Haeckel’s illustrations to simulate the microorganisms with which my hybrid being is constantly covered, almost encrusted, under the water.
. I used the 3D printer, a symbol of today’s technology. The project is made using plastic and resin that were subsequently lacquered and decorated with Cubic Zirconia..
