Born in Switzerland, Otto Künzli succeeded Hermann Jünger as an instructor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. His oeuvre testifies to a markedly artistic conceptual approach focusing on the underlying idea and the message to be conveyed. His rubber bangle with a gold sphere hidden inside, for example, has become an icon of modern jewellery.
