Interdimensional Jewelry by Spektor Shelly

Statement: Inspired by modern fashion accessories, this collection has two conceptual layers. In the first layer, the designer explores the transformation of a consumer product into a jewel. In the second - she presents a study of jewelry in virtual space. The designer explains: “I chose to create jewelry that serves a mundane function, and then used augmented reality to add a new, virtual function, allowing the wearer to customize their digital presence on social media, like Snapchat or Instagram.” Each piece in Spektor’s collection comes with its own virtual add-on or filter, intended to upgrade our physical and virtual presence. The pieces and filters were digitally designed using 3D modeling software and filter software, respectively.
