Ring: Identity Ring #Swiss Gold by Zhipeng Wang.West Lake Longjing tea leaves, 24k Swiss gold. 2026Unique pieceThis is a gift Jiro gave me for Christmas in 2023. That year, as I recall, the price of gold rose from over 300 to more than 400. Once during a casual conversation, I mentioned that I wanted to work with gold but had never used it because it was too expensive. Every Christmas, Jiro gives each of us assistants a gift we wish for. He remembered that offhand comment I made and gave me this piece of gold for Christmas. I've never used it — I've kept it all this time. Finally, for this exhibition, I've incorporated it into my work and am showing it together with the piece..
