Artist list

Naama Bergman, Emi Fukuda

A collaborative jewellery out-take by Emi Fukuda and Naama Bergman, in which they explore the transformation of thoughts into matter and culture into casting.

Fukuda's influence comes from the Japanese aesthetic of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence. She has an organic approach to jewellery-making, and challenges her creative capacity by exploring casting techniques.
Bergman’s jewellery acts as preserved remains and traces of heritage and cultural nostalgia, frozen in form and a new visual existence. The new emerges from the ruins of old, from the organic material undergoing change throughout the object's life.
