Going beyond ethical or moral issues, and away from all the legal procedures of adoption, many women negotiate (through internet) the sale of their sons, during pregnancy or during the first months of life.
The virtual domain http://buy-a-baby.com is an aesthetical operation created by Ana Cardim to answer those who are looking for online advertisements about new-borns as a trading object.
A pregnant tummy appears signed with a golden piercing tag (something that has a financial value due to a fictional pact).
The price: "Not For Sale".
Homage to all the Women who, even when suffering economical problems, would never exchange their children for money.
This work has been selected for BAC! 09 INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART IN BARCELONA
