Genius Loci – the spirit of the place – represents the special character that lives in the landscapes, materials and stories of a place.
Landscapes are not only physical places, but also places of thought – mirrors of our view of ourselves, of the world and of our existence in it.
Artist list
Sule Attems, Andrea Auer, Cristina D’Alberto, Barbara Edlinger, Ursula Guttmann, Doris Kaltenegger, Bibi Klekachkoska, Noah Layr, Martina Mühlfellner, Ela Nord, Pia Pollems, Mojca Senegacnik
The exhibition brings together Austrian graphic works from the Helmut Hable Collection, including works from the 1970s and 1980s, with contemporary positions in jewellery, textiles, and installation. Through different materials, techniques, and generations, the exhibition traces the visible and invisible connections between body, place, history, and artistic expression.
Genius Loci, the spirit of place, is understood here not as a fixed identity, but as a living and continuously changing network of stories, materials, and relationships.
From June 5th to 30th, the Helmut Hable Gallery will become a place for encounters, exchange and participation for the third time.
