All of the works are derived from three foundational Islamic geometries. In contrast to the traditional Islamic trajectory from multiplicity toward unity, this collection takes the reverse path, from unity to multiplicity, both in form and in meaning. The exhibition does not limit itself to outcomes but also reveals the design process, where Islamic geometry is redefined as a multilayered contemporary visual language that bridges past, present, and future.
Body Geometry” marks my first solo exhibition in the UAE, presenting 27 works at the intersection of artistic jewelry and sculpture, where art, design, and philosophy converge. All works in the exhibition are derived from three foundational forms of Islamic geometry, reimagined as a contemporary visual language for today, one that moves beyond mere ornamentation. In this show, artistic jewelry and sculptures enter into a new dialogue with body and space. Body Geometry invites the audience to experience how these very three forms can unfold into an infinite multiplicity of works, challenging fixed traditions, shifting perspectives, and opening new possibilities for dialogue between East and West.
