Intro
The exhibition features a selection of pieces from the Cagnes-sur-Mer city’s contemporary jewelry collection, capturing the evolution of ideas and styles that have shaped contemporary jewelry art from the 1960s to the present day. With over 400 works, the museum's extensive collection highlights the diverse techniques, forms, and materials that define contemporary jewelry.
Numerous donations and acquisitions have built a rich collection of over 400 works. A major donation took place in 2025, featuring nearly 109 pieces of jewelry and objects created by designer Joël Faivre-Chalon.

The 29 exhibited works were selected from this very collection. Together, they tell a brief history of contemporary jewelry, tracing the aesthetic, technical, and formal evolutions of this artistic field from the 1960s to 2023.

This exhibition echoes the 80th-anniversary exhibition of the Grimaldi Castle Museum, which retraces the history of its own collection and runs until January 4, 2027.

The opening reception, alongside the other exhibition The Art of Citation will take place on Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m.
