Intro
A group exhibition showcases jewelry works that are not related to the material of metal, but mainly created in textiles. It provides a different potential possibility of material and techniques choosing in the contemporary jewelry field.

Artist list

Christina Bizzarro, Helle Bjerrum, Laila Marie Costa, Janne K Hansen, Helen Clara Hemsley, Ailsa Morrant, Daodao Ni, Carla Nuis, Camilla Prasch, Mette Saabye, Barbara Schrobenhauser, Annemiek Steenhuis, Kristina Villadsen
When Anne Fabricius Møller decided to arrange GGOOLLDD, everyone asked if it was going to be a jewellery exhibition. This led her to her asking Helen Clara Hemsley to co-curate a show focusing on jewellery in textiles. So two exhibitions were born – one about gold in textiles and another about textiles in jewellery.

The GGOOLLDD exhibition highlights the use of gold in textiles and the relevance and history that is attached to them. The exhibition will comprise a range of older and more recent works using techniques such as knotless knitting, weaving, rya, print and embroidery.

This focus on gold textiles led to DLUG – DLOG and the idea to exhibit jewellery works that are in comparison not gold at all, but instead predominately made in textiles. This provides an interesting interaction and correlation, and opens up for the on-going narrative of the potential of contemporary jewellery in textiles and using textile techniques.

DLUG – DLOG is supported by The Danish Arts Foundation.
