Jewellery that doesn't exist
Over 20 brooches which are microcosms: congealed drops that reflect much more than it seems at first glance.

Do the shadows exist or not? Yes, they do. They're often more solid and talkative than the objects themselves.
What is jewellery's shadow? It's a trace, sucked out of colour. The silhouette is the limit for everything happening within.
What happens in the shadow of jewellery? The most strange and beautiful stories -fairytales- come about within the shadow. They crack, reflect and hide. They tell their stories by themselves, as delicately and suggestively as possible not to hurt.
Is there any hope? Sure. In jewellery, the fugacity of time and beauty will be sealed to be ceaseless. For exactly as long as there will be enough conscience and charity.
Tanel Veenre exhibits his most recent jewellery, over 20 brooches from the series Jewellery That Doesn't Exist.
These ornaments are microcosms - congealed drops that reflect much more than it seems at first glance. The flirt between sentimental materials gleams shamelessly through acrylic form: a hippocampus is seducing orchid blossoms, bird's egg has got ears out of black coral and aquamarine teardrops glitter on the resin-cast poppy.
There is always space for winsome discoveries. Just like when winter was too cold and the frogs gleamed through the ice on the frozen pond.
