These designers make mainly use of unconventional materials, according to innovative techniques and processes. They think in terms of original forms, of new concepts and they bet on inventiveness or even on experimentation. Their creations are unique pieces showing a wide variety of artistic expressions.
This event reflects the richness and the diversity of the author's jewellery in Wallonia and Brussels. It enables to (re)situate more broadly a part of the Belgian production through its own specifications, in the European context of contemporary expression and demonstrate how the union of a concept and an authentic personal expression can lead to an art work that inscribes itself plainly in the field of the visual arts.
This exhibition is the result of an original collaboration between the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles and the WCC-BF (World Crafts Council - French-speaking Belgium), association promoting contemporary applied arts, in Belgium and abroad.
Curator: Anne Leclercq, Director WCC-BF (World Crafts Council - French-speaking Belgium) in Mons.
