Someday I will take my mother’s organs without permission. She’ll never know.".

Condoms are the objects right in the middle of the fragile relationship between love and sex. Awkward things, promising protection for the moments when you are mixing the two. People sleeping around, make the world into a forest of condoms.".

Piece: Don’t Touch… by Zhou Wei.PVC, porelain, silver, pvc.160x600x25 mm; 140x550x25 mm"My life is presented in showcases in the museum. Organs sealed in plastic bags, to keep them fresh. The smell is like rubber and plastic, reminders of the smell on the public transport. I tried to touch your skin, but you told me “Do not touch.” ".

When the passion of love and the romance has disappeared, we have to face normal life and think about daily things as gas, rice, oil, vinegar, tea and more. When delicate and beautiful appearance changes, when bodies are getting older, when they survive ups and downs in life - the harvest will be pure love. The basic ingredients of life are catched in glass containers, blooming to life in seven small circles making together a perfect regular hexagon. The containers are a bit tilted and not of the same heights,as life is not without friction. But we need to keep the simple life and warm love alive.".

Mating season of these small insects gives you an insight of the beautiful natural formed heart-shapes, by their copulating bodies. Play with this work, shape it according to your mood, but keep the heart intact and don’t break them apart.".

Piece: Ordinary Love by Zhou Ruoxue.Silver, copper, wood.60x60x80 mm"Ordinary life rotates smoothly as a spinner. On top of this, a set of rings presents the extraordinary, love. When any of the rings are removed, the balance is gone and the spinner will stop. Losing love can not be undone. Smoothly rotating is not the case anymore.".

Piece: Touch by Feng Zixuan.Silver, silcon.30x27x3.5 mm"This work is inspired by the hedgehog. A fascinating and alert animal, armed with needles toward the outside world, and completely curled up and hiding in their own world. But something remarkable happens when they feel safe, when they feel trusted and when they are surrounded by love. It opens up, is soft and warm and allows the other to come near. I made a ring of silver, oxidized to get a scary appearance. But the touch and feel will be different from the metal, just soft, due to the silicon. At the places where the rings touches the skin, it colours to a tender red.".

At the places where the rings touches the skin, it colours to a tender red."

Ubi Gallery In cooperation with the jewellery department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing presents the pop-up exhibition Love. Eleven young jewellery students reflect on the eternal theme of love.

In cooperation with the jewellery department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Ubi Gallery presents the pop-up exhibition LOVE. Eleven young jewellery students reflect on the eternal theme of love. The young artists felt challenged to avoid superficial and simplistic references. Inspiration came from the diversity and meaningful layers within the theme. For the first time in their career they share their findings with the audience. And we invite you to join them and follow their exploration.
