Intro
Konstrundan will be held for the 18th time on 6–7 September 2025. Over the weekend, around 480 visual artists, craftspeople, designers, and artist residencies across all regions of Finland will open their doors to the public. Visitors are welcome to step into studios and workshops, meet the people behind the works, and see how their creations take shape. The studios are open from 11 am to 5 pm.

Konstrundan is a nationwide event that, since its launch in 2008, has expanded to include both large cities and small towns across the country. It offers a wide variety of techniques and materials – from painting, ceramics, and jewellery to textiles, woodworking, and design. On the website konstrundan.fi, all participant profiles can be found, complete with images, introductions, and artist interviews. The site also features the Konstrundan map, which makes it easy to plan your own route. For tips on particularly interesting destinations, the Konstrundan team is happy to provide recommendations for different regions and towns.

This year will once again feature the Konstrundan Art Lottery, where visitors can win artworks by eight different participants from eight regions. Participation is free of charge, and every location offers the chance to fill in a digital lottery ticket. The prizes will be presented both on-site and online, and the winners will be announced in October.

On Friday, 5 September, group visits for schools and associations can be booked with participating artists. On Thursday, 4 September, the Konstrundan team’s art exhibition will open at Kulturhuset Grand in Porvoo from 5 pm to 7 pm, and it will remain open throughout September. This year, Konstrundan is also a partner event of Helsinki Design Week.

In August, a webinar on art pricing will be held in collaboration with Globe Art Point on 20 August for Konstrundan participants and GAP members, led by Terese Kühl. In addition, in collaboration with Porvoo Art Association, the panel discussion Local Global – The Local Art Community’s Path to International Markets will take place on 28 August at Art Factory Porvoo and online via Zoom. The panel will feature Petri Hytönen, Jukka Vikberg, Juha-Heikki Tihinen, and Konstrundan’s Leena Stolzmann.

About Meira Rauta:

Meira Rauta is a jewelry artist based in Helsinki, Finland. Her artistic vision raises from her long experience of making jewelry (since 2008), but also from her two educations in the field: jewelry designer from the Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Degree Programme in Design), and artisan in precious metals from the Salpaus Further Educations. She has taken part in several courses to expand her skills. One of them is the Korean Keum-boo technique, which she has used in many of her works.

Finnish State Art Commission acquired her art piece for the Finnish National Gallery’s collections in March 2025. Her works are also in the collections of the Finnish Watch and Jewelry Museum Kruunu and some private collectors. She’s received the Artistar Jewels Network Award in Milan Jewelry Week 2024, which was accompanied by an exhibition in Rome in Galleria Carlo Lucidi from June 6th to August 2nd 2025. Currently, she is preparing for the annual duo show in Helsinki Winter Garden, based on a different theme each year since 2019. In the spring of 2026, there will be a follow-up to the summer 2025 Thousand Years of Jewelry invitational exhibition.
