Mariko Kusumoto
"Although I am a metalsmith, I was immediately drawn into this fabric world, which is completely the opposite of metal. I want to combine the same classic techniques with a modern aesthetic. My fascination with fabric continues by using different types of techniques and fabric, such as polyester, which when heated can permanently retain the shape you create.

I sincerely enjoy the process of discovering and exploring, which takes me to different places. I feel endless, unlimited possibilities with these materials, and am anxious to see something that I have never seen before. Here you will see some new examples from my journey."
