Peter Skubic
This controversial artist does not believe jewellery necessarily needs to be wearable and worn, but primarily regards it as the result of his artistic researches. Skubic has been working in the jewellery field for many years. During this time he has searched for new ways of expression and for the limits and boundaries of jewellery. For his action 'Jewellery under the Skin', the artist for seven years wore a shaped jewellery implant under the skin of his left forearm as a reference to hidden jewellery and adornment involving mutilation.

Freilichtmuseum is showing pieces from 2000 to 2010. They are constructed from various parts and held in tension by mechanical forces such as stress and strain, by magnetic forces or the elasticity of the material.
