Erik’s work revolves around the world of objects that surround us on a daily basis. By working with discarded and found objects he explores the way they are made, used and discarded. By seeing the beauty in the interactions we have with our objects and exploiting the inherent symbolism that objects contain he aims to revalue the connection we have with our belongings.

Erik Lijzenga, 33, is a jeweller and sculptor who holds a BA in Product Design from ArtEZ University of the Arts and an MA in Gemstones and Jewellery from Hochschule Trier in Idar-Oberstein and working in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
