Intro
Mar Sáez immerses herself in the ancient and monumental Rome, capturing the city's evocative images and timeless relics through photography, video, and sound. In her project Terza Vita (Third Life), she explores the emotional and intimate experiences of young Romans of diverse backgrounds, weaving a vibrant tapestry of contemporary Roman society.

Artist list

Mar Sáez
The beach of Ostia and some of the squares and streets of the beautiful Urbs or Città Eterna are the scene chosen by the artist to unfold the Terza Vita (third life) project. A work developed in the post-pandemic era that, always starting from an emotional, intimate and highly aesthetic dimension, explores a Rome that becomes alive and multitemporal, uniting past, present and future.

Mar Sáez is a multidisciplinary artist who works with photography, text, video and sound. In 2021 she received a scholarship from the Spanish Academy in Rome to carry out an artistic residency in the city. She has a degree in Psychology and Audiovisual Communication from the University of Valencia. She later expanded his studies and specialized in contemporary photography, theory and artistic projects. In her work she tries to explore the complexity of identity and biopolitics by trying to paint a portrait, from the inside, of the realities that concern her and analyzing the limits of the documentary genre.
