The Jewellery Unleashed! symposium is aimed specifically at professionals. Welcome to a symposium highlighting issues in the jewellery trade, the relevance of contemporary art jewellery to a wide audience and how this audience can be reached. Get your ticket now!
During the symposium Jewellery unleashed!, jewellery designers and historians with a high profile in both the Netherlands and abroad, including Noon Passama, James Beighton and Alba Cappellieri, will share their views on current designs and issues in the jewellery trade. They will discuss the relevance of contemporary art jewellery to a wide audience and how this audience can be reached at the symposium on Friday 3 February. Organised by Premsela, The Netherlands Institute for Design and Fashion, in collaboration with the Arnhem Museum of Modern Art (MMKA) and the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, the Jewellery Unleashed! symposium is aimed specifically at professionals from the jewellery trade. The symposium is being held at ArtEZ in Arnhem in conjunction with the Unleashed! Rule-breaking jewellery exhibition, which will remain open to visitors at the MMKA until Sunday 5 February.
About the exhibition jewellery unleashed!
Friday 4 November saw the opening at the MMKA of the Unleashed! Rule-breaking jewellery exhibition in which over eighty designers from twenty-five countries are presenting the endless possibilities of contemporary jewellery. Guest curator, jewellery expert and joint initiator of the symposium Liesbeth den Besten is responsible for both the exhibition and the accompanying publication On Jewellery. The exhibition will be on display in the museum until Sunday 5 February.
