LAO invites guest teachers and artists from the jewellery world to lead workshops, offering students the chance to exchange ideas and gain insights from professionals. These workshops are a valuable tool for professional growth and provide a platform for creative experimentation.
3D.AZ Corporate training for 3d printing operators

Dates: 11 and 12 July 2024 – 8 hours.
Price: 300 euros.
Programs and content curated by invited teacher Emanuele Matronola.

The training program involves the theoretical and practical education of the user in the management of 3D printers, covering machine maintenance, the study of printable models, and concluding with the setup. For educational purposes, the examined equipment will be SLA and FDM 3D printers, respectively using liquid resin and melting plastic filament. The use of semi-professional printers will allow addressing challenges related to systems with limited functionalities, different from industrial machines engineered to minimize or entirely eliminate typical issues of these instruments. The goal is to educate an operator who is aware of potential challenges in using these machines and is prepared to critically and objectively address the research and resolution of problems independently.

3D Printing: From machine operation to the study of printable models

4, 6, 11 and 13 September 2024 – 15 hours
Price: 500 euros.
Programs and content curated by invited teacher Emanuele Matronola

In today's reality, digital technologies and informatics have become an integral part of our lives. In every field, there is a constant inquiry into the possibilities and interactions that the virtual world can have with the real world. 3D printing techniques, which involve a set of operations aimed at obtaining a physical representation of virtual models, applied in artistic, industrial, and artisanal fields, can form the foundations of communion between tradition and modernity.

Through this course, students will have the opportunity to experiment and develop specific skills related to the design study of virtual models in order to make them achievable with 3D printers. It will be crucial to understand these machines in their limits and structure to become informed and independent users in managing processes that are now considered fundamental in the professional environment.
