Intro
Learn all the tricks for connecting with Contemporary Jewelry galleries from Juan Riusech, jeweler and founder of the Alliages gallery. Learn to conceptualize your ideas to present the most successful proposals to participate in jewelry competitions. We will carry out a project based on a title chosen by Juan Riusech.

Course program:
Morning Day 1: How to work with a gallery
– What does the work of a gallery consist of?
– How to communicate correctly with a gallery
– Work with an exhibition curator.
– How to respond to an Open Call for Artists.
– How to calculate sales prices, commissions that galleries usually charge, taxes, standard contracts, deposits, shipping,…
 
Afternoon, Day 1 and Day 2:  Adjectifying Art
-Using adjectives proposed by Juan Riusech, we will analyze how to qualify them and transform them into a piece of art according to our vision.
-We will seek to maximize each of the ideas.
-A piece of jewelry or a series of models will be created that reflect these adjectives in a justified way.
-It is a conceptual creation workshop, in which we are going to face the vision we have of art, of a work that is before us.
 
Material to bring:
Material for making models, fabrics, cardboard, glue, cutters, scissors, rulers, pencils, needles, thread, wood, metal, silicone gun, foam, Porex pan, everything you can think of to develop a proposal of an idea.


Date and time: 5th - 6th October, 10:00 to 18:00 (with a lunch break approximately from 13:30 to 14:30).
Price: 210 €
Duration: 14 hours.
Places: 6 people.
Registration: Up to one week before the start of the course.

Juan Riusech:
Juan Riusech is an artist in the field of contemporary jewelry for 20 years and the founder of the Alliages Gallery in 2009. He has curated exhibitions for over 10 years, with the most prominent international artists.
At the same time, he has created a collection of 168 pieces of jewellery which has been donated to the fantastic museum of contemporary jewellery in Cagnes Sur Mer. 
He has also participated as an individual artist in various international contemporary jewelry exhibitions.
