Bio-resins are resins with similar properties to polyurethane, epoxy, or other synthetic polymers, yet they are made with more biological components. These polymers are more eco-friendly and less toxic for both humans and the planet. The bio-resin we will be using is food-safe and falls outside toxic classifications.

About Machteld Lambeets
I am a Brussel-based object maker with a background in jewellery and objects.
My fascination with materials and techniques led me to explore natural materials, waste materials, bio-resins and metals. As a maker I position myself within the crafts as it is my source of inspiration, guidance and helps me to reflect upon the world around me.
My creative process is driven by how humans have constructed norms in our society to shape our actions
and thoughts. I pose myself the question which
norms are connected to my life, craft and my chosen
materials. How is the quest for perfection within the
crafts also connected to their (for me often obvious)
connection to nature and the inherent beauty of the
imperfection?
