About the teacher:
Gold and silversmith Rudolf Bott lives and works in Kirchbuch.
What I am doing is primarily derived from the knowledge acquired of space and time and the fun to be had in making statements in this context. My love of doing things with my hands and thinking is often where my making starts and finds purchase. The sensitivity of my hands teaches me an understanding of formal contexts. Properties are transmitted through the hands to the head and initiate a thought process. I often think about the specific properties of materials and limit myself to their area of application. This method gives me the necessary purchase in the creative process and secures the limitation, thus making the statement of the working clear and convincing. Questioning familiar processes is another approach of my creative work that often leads me to unexpected results and statements. It is always essential to see and position what is developed from an overall perspective, however.
