Cuttlefish bone casting is an ancient mediterranean technique. This is a fun workshop where the participants will learn how to use cuttlebone casting to create jewelry and small sculptural objects.
The process is simple: the student carves a design into the cuttlebone, adds a channel for the molten metal and secures the cuttle bone together with bailing wire. The metal is then melted in a crucible and poured into the mold through the channel. Let it cool, open it up and you have a nice new piece of jewelry or artwork. In this course the students will learn this casting method with three specific practical exercises and one straw casting exercise.

Fee: 120 €
Material: Each participant must bring 30 gr of silver (it can be scrap), an apron and a notebook. Rest of materials are included.
