DEADLINE: 22/10/2018

During this workshop the Danish artists Annette Dam and Marie-Louise Kristensen will introduce their work methods. These include using techniques such as registrations, reflections and paying close attention to what's happening in the world around us and inside ourselves.
Among other things, the workshop will have the emphasis on materials - how the individual properties of different materials can be combined to produce new compositions. Considerations regarding adapting works to the body - the function and placement - will also be addressed.
The workshop will start out with small individual exercises, common reflections and conversations about TIME, MATERIAL, BODY and SPACE. The participants will prepare sketches and create jewelry in relation to the title: Dialogue Across the Past, the Present and the Future.
We will focus on the creative process and experimenting with form and materials rather than working with refining technical skills. The participants should know basic goldsmith techniques beforehand and be able to attend all three days.
Time: 10 am - 3 pm.
Language: English, Chinese.
Price: 800 RMB ( 600 RMB for students) / 100 Euro (75 Euro for students)
Maximum: 15 people

In Annette Dam´s work the artistic, conceptual and handcraft meet, and through an investigative practice the process serves as an active contributor to the design and final expression. Her jewellery is created in a sensual and narrative universe preferably combining elements of seriousness and a sense of humor. All of it considered through a both loving and critical perspective aiming for communicative art jewellery.
Marie-Louise Kristensen creates unique jewellery in a humorous and narrative universe. Her jewellery weaves the exclusive and the everyday together, both in design and in materials. Kristensen graduated from the Institute of Precious Metals in 2004. Lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is represented at Gallery Goldfingers, Copenhagen and ATTA Gallery, Bangkok. Her works has been selected to exhibit at Schmuck - Munich, Germany in 2010, 2014 and 2016. In 2016 Marie-Louise Kristensen and Annette Dam founded Art Jewellery Copenhagen.
