Presenting your contemporary sense of life by means of jewelry will be the target in the course with Kadri Mälk.
Content
Presenting your contemporary sense of life by means of jewelry will be the target in the course with Kadri Mälk.
In the workshop you create jewelry or an object around the theme “fata morgana”. In reflection and discussion with Kadri Mälk from Estonia and the other students in the class you will develop a metaphorical interpretation. This will reveal your interpretation and state of mind concerning fatamorgana subject in it by means of images and material.
You work in the tension between desert – oasis (desert - island) and mirage – salvation (deceiving picture - to see water and green trees after a long suffering). Your work will be a reflection about waiting, one of the most existential human experiences. Desert becomes beautiful thanks to the fact that somewhere it hides a well and water. There is often no clear cut line between reality and imagination as sometimes the invisible might turn out to be more real than the visible.
The essential things can be altered by finding them out and making them visible. To start the creative process in discussion with Kadri Mälk please bring a piece of your work that has a special significance for you.
> The course will be conducted in English and German language.
