Hester van Eeghen: Creating is Storytelling

You will identify little stories in yourselves and find out what happens by associating from one first image to the final design of a product. To start you will play with the inspiration of shapes, colors, materials, music, films, etc. The sensation of touching, smelling, bending, different materials, is associated with the sensation of feeling physically as well as conceiving mentally. In this process you realize how the silent process works by connecting images to a concept and a concept to a final product. The target is to discover your own handwriting in your design. Hester van Eeghen will discuss the importance of colors and material with you to transfer the essence of your ideas into an object. You will design an object or a bag: a “holiday bag” with the limitation of time, experience, material, machines, so you might work and stitch by hand, or use other tools and thus discover new ways. If possible please bring you own sewing machine with you.
