(...) In this workshop you will learn the basic techniques and get to know the basic materials. After baking the different objects, we will finish them. You can saw, drill and sandpaper the baked objects. (...)
Each of our workshops offers an extensive introduction to a specific
technique or method of design. You will be completely immersed into
the subject matter and will receive plenty of background information,
enabling you to continue working independently afterwards.
Some of the workshops are open to beginners, as no prior knowledge or skill is acquired. In the advanced workshops specific techniques are developed for which you already need to master the basic jewelry techniques.
The studio works with 1 regular lecturer (Lotte De Mey) and several visiting lecturers. All lecturers have several years of experience in the subject matter that they teach and have proven both their artistic and technical merits. With these standards we can offer you a unique range of high quality workshops.
Polymer clay is a very versatile material. It exists in a solid and liquid form. You can shape it with your hands and with tools, you can add a texture, apply leaf metal. You can process it to make it look like ivory, glass, ceramics, wood... The possibilities are endless.
