The Art Folk High School (Kunsthøjskolen) is housed on a country estate known as Holbæk Slot Ladegaard, the history of which can be traced right back to 1200 AD when the first buildings were erected on the site. The main building, with the exception of a few features, dates from the end of the 1700s and is surrounded by a large and beautiful garden. From the terrace of the jewellery workshop there is a view of the orchard and the woods beyond.
