Porcelain sculpture artist, Olivia Monti Arduini, will guide participants in experiment with a myriad of different techniques. From the use of molds, pigments, paperclay, slipcasting, inlay, neriage, burnishing, glazes, Olivia will demonstrate infusing clay with one’s special touch to create a wearable work of art.
Fuel your imagination and créate unique ceramic jewelry in a setting of unusual tropical beauty amid artisans of world-renowned skill. Porcelain sculpture artist, Olivia Monti Arduini, will guide participants in experiment with a myriad of different techniques. From the use of molds, pigments, paperclay, slipcasting, inlay, neriage, burnishing, glazes, Olivia will demonstrate infusing clay with one’s special touch to create a wearable work of art.
Participants will be ushered through all steps of making porcelain jewelry component parts. The conclusion of the workshop will be in the assemblage: stringing, wiring, or otherwise combining pieces to create finished jewels.
And then, of course, the fashion show…
Open to any level of experience.
Tuition: US dollar 950
Tuition includes: general studio materials, firings, transport during workshop hours, excursions around Bali, Welcome dinner, and lunches at the studio.
Accomodation: can be book independently or through Gaya CAC
Jewelry tool kits additional.
