Each of us is precious. It is all about individual voice and artistic freedom. What makes you unique? Different from all other artists/designers in the world? I try to create very chilled and honest atmosphere, there is no stress of competition - we are here to experiment, to make mistakes, to look fool - to find out something new. Your most important tools are brain and heart, ideas and feelings. Hands should find most optimal way to express all the beauty you have inside!
Please, create an art object that communicates through senses (smell-taste-sound-tactilty). You can focus on one of the senses or working with several of them simultaneously. How to deliver messages through sensual experiences?
You can work both in the direction of conceptual art jewellery of creating a more approachable fashion jewellery series. I could relate to the both worlds because I have one leg in art and another in fashion.
Participants: 14 maximum.
Price (4 days with lunch):
WCC-BF members and studends (under 27 years ) 150 €
non-membres: 180 €
Venue: Atelier de bijouterie de l’Institut de la Parure et de la bijouterie-Jeanne Toussaint, Bruxelles, Belgium
Teaching methods:
lectures + individual talks + group discussions + final analyze.
Materials needed, please take with you:
Inspiring materials that work with senses (at least 5 different options of materials which work with smell, taste, sound or tactilty). We will choose together the ones best potential to work further.
Additional: metal (or alternatives like plastic, rubber, glue, textile etc) to `frame` it into the jewellery context.
Additional `helping` material you feel comfortable with - resins, paints, glues, nails, thread, textile etc (for sure you can share these also with other students)
