Led by Jeweller Vicki Mason, this workshop will explore plant forms found in suburban landscapes and also within the parks and gardens of Melbourne.

Participants will use remnant sheet plastics (sourced as waste remnants from the stationery industry), textiles, pre-fabricated jewellery attachments and other materials in the creation of low-tech jewellery objects. This hands-on workshop will engage participants in a collaborative way and encourage them to think through aspects of making an object to wear on the body.

Techniques to be explored will include cutting, folding, using metal dies, stitching, threading and knotting.
