Bio
Miku Saeki, born in 1998, completed an M.F.A in metalsmithing at Cranbrook Academy of Art in the USA. She is currently based in Tokyo, Japan, where her practice revolves around the delicate balance and boundaries within herself in the intimate forces. Her work is featured in exhibitions internationally: Inflow 2026, NYC Jewelry Week, and MARZEE Graduate Show.Statement
Metal is both rigid and malleable in the hand. Through the slow labor of repeating gestures: cutting, forming, line working, the process turns inward, becoming a quiet internal conversation. My recent work holds these dualities: flow and pause, balance and tension, support and distance. Worn on the body, these objects map the quiet geography of intimate relationships of two, the connection we hold within ourselves, and the space we share with another.News!
