The silver rhyton is handmade from fragments of old destroyed silverware decorated with the repoussé technique. Akis Goumas hammered the recycled silverware fragments on an anvil and joined them to create a new contemporary piece. After Life is part of a larger synthesis; its surface carries the memory of the previous artisans who left their mark on the precious material.
