Statement: Alischa Kilburg has been dealing with the phenomenon of borders in all its forms for some time. She examines, questions and explores the field of boundaries intensely; with which she sensitizes the ego to expands an understanding of social structures. The genre of the border is analysed historically, artistically and philosophically in its meaning and appearance; Covid19 adds another layer to her topic. Nevertheless, Alischa Kilburg breaks completely away from the negative terminology. She does not deal with the negative connotations of the border but reveals the positive view upon the dividing line as an element to mix and bring together. This reflects very well her own personality and her importance of involvement in social topics.
